Heat Pumps (Air Source)
Utilizing high-efficiency heat pumps will save you money on annual heating bills, with the added convenience of central air conditioning when you want it.
A heat pump works like a reversible air conditioner. In summer, air flowing across the colder, heat-absorbing side of a REFRIGERATION apparatus is chilled and pumped through the home, and the heat is vented through an apparatus outdoors.
At Right Way, we utilize Bryant's Puron® refrigerant, R-410a, an environmentally friendly refrigerant developed to provide cooling without depleting the earth's ozone layer. The refrigerant used in most home comfort systems; Freon*-22, will soon be phased out by federal law.
In winter, the flow of the refrigerant is reversed. It absorbs heat through the outdoor apparatus, and the heat is released using the indoor apparatus and ducted through the building. Heat pumps are inefficient when the outside temperature is below freezing.
